Own a boat and want to know where to catch the big ones?

Well, why not join a Fishing Club where people get together to discuss where to fish, how to fish, and what’s being caught and where.

The Knox Boat Fishing Club inc (KBFC) is a family boat fishing club committed to promoting responsible recreational angling through fellowship and sportsmanship. Established over 30 years ago, the Knox Boat Fishing Club has grown to over 150 members, based at dedicated club rooms in the South Eastern suburb of Wantirna.

Club meetings are held fortnightly on a Wednesday and consist of angling reports and discussion of past and future club Events.Regular Guest Speakers are scheduled to enlighten us on various areas of our fishing.

THE CLUB PROVIDES:

  • full syllabus of angling events focusing on a range of fresh and saltwater species in a number of locations across Victoria
  • an annual Game fishing tournament occurs over seven days each March in Bermagui, NSW
  • a strong emphasis on family activities that cater for male, female, intermediate and junior competitive divisions
  • a range of social events including an annual family weekend at Paynesville, junior members Christmas party and regular restaurant nights
  • an opportunity to improve fishing and boating skills through exposure to experienced and successful anglers who are only too willing to share their knowledge

HOW WE COMMUNICATE

  • All members are subscribed to an automated email mailing list to ensure they are kept informed regularly of upcoming events and angling reports
  • The KBFC operates a website, facebook and twitter page which cover many aspects of our Club’s activities, news, syllabus, hints and tips, photos and sponsors, as well as topically related articles.
